    1. I placed my bottom on the seat in order to absorb any residual writing superness. Fingers crossed. Thanks for reading, Emma. It's a bit of an ask.

    2. Are you allowed to use the word bottom on Notes from the Slushpile?

  2. That has to be the shortest, and best, post we've ever had on the slushpile! It must have taken hours of thought and preparation. Like a picture book - the fewer the words the more each word choice counts. Well done you :)

  4. And you're obviously too modest to mention that she took a quick snap of your seat.

  5. Are you ever going to be able to let anybody else sit in this seat?

    1. Tragic loss of a photo opportunity though, Jan. I did think about it but didn't want to risk Malorie's anti-kidnapping utility belt thing.

  7. Is that it? I was expecting a great long post with lots of quotes and pictures! (I have a pic of Malorie with Dougal Trump if you'd like it)

    1. That's it, Jackie. My car is now buzzing with Malorie writerliness - you just can't see it. I'm thinking of using it as an office. Malorie and Dougal - how exciting!

  9. Fab post: they do say that it's what you leave out that's important! But I also love that the comments now outnumber the blogpost wordage so spectacularly. All hail Malorie's seat... hmm, that hasn't come out quite right...

    1. I think this is the way forward for blogging, a mixture of blog and tweet - twogging.

      Thanks for reading!
