Mary's scrap book idea reminds me very much of the mood boards I had to create when I was training as a set and costume designer.Tracyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16278340974826259307noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-701894736280253278.post-20615339523562443682011-03-17T19:03:07.104+00:002011-03-17T19:03:07.104+00:00Diary of a Wimpy Author is the title of my new aut...Diary of a Wimpy Author is the title of my new autobiography with highlights about my school visits.Candy Gourlayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07802791643303335762noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-701894736280253278.post-69950893310860672432011-03-17T18:54:43.232+00:002011-03-17T18:54:43.232+00:00AS a founding member of the SAS it's great to ...AS a founding member of the SAS it's great to see that the 'Coventry' weekend is still going well.

The first ever weekend was just as good!Annehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06677754304058294713noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-701894736280253278.post-24311230982639051812011-03-17T15:43:24.203+00:002011-03-17T15:43:24.203+00:00Glad this wasn't titled "Diary of a Wimpy...Glad this wasn't titled "Diary of a Wimpy Author!"

I have to agree with you about apps - I see lots of discussion at the older age range about branching stories etc, but they all sound a bit like Fighting Fantasy books. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but I think authors still struggle to write these in a way that doesn't become hopelessly mechanical. I'm not sure if Heavy Rain points the way - it's clearly beautifully realised, but hardly original in story terms.

Nick.

P.S. If I was going to pick a talismanic object for my work-in-progress, it would be a £50 note ;-)Nick Crosshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02571077124165351007noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-701894736280253278.post-50973929772221407352011-03-17T15:15:15.036+00:002011-03-17T15:15:15.036+00:00What a fabulous summary of the conference!
