Goodreads is fine, but I also think it's a place where I've seen unrealistic reviews or go to just complain. I'm looking for mostly reader reactions and number of sales, because ultimately, that's what we're trying to do--get the book into readers' hands.Heather Cashmanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13663618412988535459noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-701894736280253278.post-80564805096780375152019-10-06T10:24:11.345+01:002019-10-06T10:24:11.345+01:00It's interesting how other people can see the ...It's interesting how other people can see the parallels that we don't spot ourselves, because we're too close to our work. I also wondered if press or reputable blogsite reviews carry extra weight or are you mostly guaging the level of reader reactions? Ta! I hadn't thought of the Black Mirror comparison for Beauty Sleep but it seemed so obvious when my editor said it and now I use it all the time when I'm explaining to young adults what my books are like!Kathryn Evanshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16439670363289229014noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-701894736280253278.post-68896091235009267622019-10-04T16:16:29.108+01:002019-10-04T16:16:29.108+01:00Great blog post!Great blog post!PJ McIlvainehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15496990000619350774noreply@blogger.com
