Thrilling to What Kids Read in 2008

I took this survey of what the kids in my orbit were reading in 2008. What did I discover? They were all reading, they loved what they were reading and they loved talking about the books they read. Hooray! Reading is not dead after all!

  2. Well done, Candy! Very amusing...must have taken you ages to cobble together! Chuffed to get a mention; how much did you have to bribe them? ;-)

  3. Fantastic Candy! What a brilliant bunch of children. I'm happy to say I've read most of those too.

Keep smiling - everyone will always want a good story!

  4. i didn't have to prompt them. it's viral. one starts reading one and the rest follow. your lulu baker books are really good - you should do books 4,5 and 6 ... you've obviously got an eager audience (although aisha balked at reading the pink chameleon because she heard rumours that it was about fashion!)

  7. Candy ... great video!!!
Loved their answers and the summaries of the books! Reminded me of a couple I was going to read in 08 and missed!

    I LOVE your videos!

  8. when they talked about books they liked it was like a lesson in how to make your novel hook.

i wanted a teenage girl but my teenage girl neighbour was not in. the babies had to be held down but they were very expressive. there were so many other books mentioned like holes by louis sachar, the wizard of oz, animal books, horror, but i couldn't fit them all in.

    kids are amazing.

  10. Another excellent video Candy - very uplifting and it sparked lots of 'books we've read this year' talk in our house.
